MICA Ratios is a benchmarking service that allows you to compare your maintenance efficiency with other factories. The service compares Financial, Work Planning & Control, Staffing and Materials performance measures (ratios) against competitors and sister factories. These ratios have been selected to include key areas of maintenance performance and to give a good comparison of the efficiency of maintenance between factories. Participating companies can compare their own maintenance ratios with the minimum, maximum, and average ratios from other companies in their sector. This comparison is delivered in a confidential and comprehensive report.
The focus is clearly on the efficiency of the maintenance department addressing such questions as:
- How much do you spend and what do you spend it on?
- What are your staffing levels both direct and indirect?
- How well organised is maintenance work?
- How effective is your spare parts store?
Measures used are industry standard but have been refined over a number of years of use and are based on well tested data definitions.
